The Office of Business and Finance at UNO is announcing the hiring of Andrew Sullivan as the university’s new Auxiliary Services director.
Sullivan joined UNO on Aug. 1, 2022, bringing 20 years of experience in financial management including nearly 15 years’ experience in auxiliary services in a higher education setting in the state of Washington.
“I am excited to be a part of UNO and to join the Omaha community. I am looking forward to leveraging my experiences to help grow the vital services that help keep the campus operational and service our students, faculty, and staff,” Sullivan said.
As director, Sullivan will be responsible for all building operations within the Milo Bail Student Center, including Food Services and Catering; the UNO Bookstore; and MavCARD Services, as well as units such as the UNO Child Care Center; Parking and Transportation Services; and the Thompson Alumni Center.
“UNO truly is like its own extended community and like any community we need essential services to function that can make sure people have the resources they need, like food, childcare, transportation, and so much more,” explained Jim Kamm, UNO’s assistant vice chancellor for business and finance. “Andrew is someone who not only understands the role that these services play in making a campus a great place to learn, live, and work, but what we can do to continually ask how we can make these services work better for everyone.”
Sullivan most recently served as the Enterprise Funds Manager for Auxiliary Services at Central Washington University, in Ellensburg, WA, which included overseeing long-term business plans and capital projects; budget development; and financial reporting.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a certificate in supply chain management from Central Washington University. He is also a member of the National Association of College Auxiliary Services; National Association of College and University Food Services; and the Independent College Bookstore Association.
