StoneBridge Early Learning Center in Sharpsburg has a few openings for the Georgia Pre-K program, according to center owner Cindy Gibbons. The center, located at 106 Bailey Station Circle, a block off Hwy. 34 near Dunkin Donuts and Taco Bell, may be particularly convenient for Peachtree City parents who work in Coweta County.
Georgia’s Pre-K Program, funded by the state lottery, is an educational program for children in Georgia who are four years old by September 1. The purpose of Georgia’s Pre-K Program is to prepare children for success in Kindergarten and later school years.
Georgia’s Pre-K program is not zoned by counties so children may enroll in Pre-K programs outside their county or school districts.
Ms. Gibbons has been overseeing childcare programs in Georgia for 40 years and has run a Pre-K program since its inception in 1992. She followed her dream to open a childcare center in Newnan in 2007 and expanded to Sharpsburg in 2013. Both centers have offered Pre-K programs since opening. Gibbons has been serving families in this area for more than 15 years.
“The first years of a child’s life are critical for growth and development,” Ms. Gibbons says. “StoneBridge is committed to providing each child the opportunity to develop the skills needed to advance their educational journey.”
“Don’t miss this opportunity,” Gibbons says. “Openings at this time in the school year are rare.”
StoneBridge centers follow the Coweta County school calendar, with school beginning on August 4. Hours for the Pre-K program are 8 am to 2:30 pm. After-school care is also available for Pre-K students.
To register your child for Pre-K at StoneBridge, stop by the center at 106 Bailey Station Circle in Sharpsburg. Bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate as well as proof of Georgia residency.
