Multi-language app

But Tsuboi’s most meaningful invention — inspired by her mom, a Japanese immigrant and single mother of three who needed a lot of help with translation and accessing resources — is Lilac.

Lilac is a multi-language app that connects non-English-speaking parents with childcare, housing, and translation services, as reported by People.

“I build apps to solve problems in my community,” the Los Angeles-based 11th grader, who is fluent in 13 programming languages, told PEOPLE.

“It gives me a sense of hope that even with all the things going on in the world, we can always think of solutions by using our creativity,” adde the teen.

As a winner of Apple’s 2022 Swift Student Challenge, Tsuboi has spent time with CEO Tim Cook.

Amateur pilot

Since Tsuboi was seven, she has been trying to solve problems she sees through computer coding and building apps.

“I feel like I have a really good purpose and meaning in my life,” says Tsuboi, “and it’s a really good motivating force for good,” she added.

An amateur pilot-in-training for the last two years, Tsuboi just launched an app called Pilot Fast Track to connect aspiring aviators with resources to pay for flight training.

5 in 1 neonatal support

Another teen genius by the name of Emmanuel Amehegha recently made many proud with his latest invention.

A post sighted by TUKO.co.ke on the Twitter timeline of @quame_age saw the concerned man sharing that he decided to build an automated 5 in 1 neonatal bed in his quest to reduce the number of newborns who are kept on some hospitals floors in Ghana due to lack of beds.

In the video, Emmanuel was seen explaining how his invention works.

“There are numbers on the automated bed which represents a specific bed. Every bed has an ID tag attached to it. If a particular number is pressed, the machine loads and with the help of sensors, the baby on the given bed is delivered”, he explained. T
